What the scores are, and what they aren’t
Ten gauges, and we tell you which ones are guesses.
Every city carries ten dimensions. Some come from measured sources — Numbeo, Ookla Speedtest, OECD, Eurostat, government visa data. Many are modelled, because nobody has verified numbers for all 12,000+ places, and anyone claiming otherwise is guessing at you rather than with you. Where we have no source, the dossier prints “no reliable source on file” instead of a number.

Are these numbers real?
Mixed, and the dossier says which. Visa, cost, internet and safety come from named sources with links — Numbeo, Ookla Speedtest, OECD, Eurostat, government visa data. The ten dimension scores are modelled estimates. Anything we cannot source is printed as unknown instead of filled in.
Is it free?

Do I need an account?

Does it use my budget and passport?
Both as hard filters. Cities above your ceiling or closed to your passport are excluded outright, not quietly ranked lower.
